Objective: Get your entire team from one side of a designated "river" to the other, using only the provided planks, without touching the "water."
Players: 4-10 per team (can be played with multiple teams competing)
Equipment:
Planks/Boards: You'll need about 3-5 planks per team. A good rule of thumb to follow is have one board more then the number of players on your team.
"River": Make a river with cones, ropes, chalk, or natural boundaries to mark out a start line, an end line, and the "river" in between. The "river" should be wide enough to be challenging but traversable, about 10-30 feet wide

How to Play:
Put all players on one side of the river with their planks. Tell the players to place planks on the ground in front of them to create a path. The players can't step on the water(the ground). Once players have moved onto a plank, someone must move the "back" plank to the front to continue the path. All planks must cross the river with the team. You can't throw them to the other side. The game ends when every team member has successfully made it to the other side of the river.
Penalty options for touching the "Water":
Option 1 (Hard): If anyone touches the "water," the entire team must return to the start bank and begin again.
Option 3 (Medium): For each instance of touching the water, a time penalty (e.g., 15-30 seconds) is added to their total time.
Option 2 (Easy): If a person touches the "water," they must return to the last safe plank. If a plank touches the water when being moved, it might have to be retrieved and re-placed from a safe spot.
Variations: Split into multiple groups and time which group reaches the other side the fastest!
